Can livestock farmers claim compensation for livestock damages through wolves?

In many federal states there are rules for the minimum standard of measures protecting these animals. Sticking to these rules is necessary in order to be eligible for potential compensation payments. Only in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, compensation payments can be legally claimed after official assessment of the case.
