DBBW, the Federal Documentation and Consultation Centre on Wolves

Our main task is to advice the federal and state authorities regarding all questions concerning wolves in the wild. Further, we compile all wolf data collected in the federal states and prepare it for presentation to the public. The information presented here is compiled by DBBW on behalf of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation and funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). On this website you can find current results from the German wolf monitoring as well as information regarding wolf management in Germany (e.g. nationwide statistics on wolf attacks on domestic animals). Additionally, we provide general background information about the wolf.
